My name’s Boniface and I live in Uganda. I am hard of hearing. Growing up I completed primary and secondary school.

I couldn't compete

I went on to get a bachelor’s degree in Community Based Rehabilitation at Kyambogo University. During my studies I did face some challenges. Mainly this affected how I received information during lessons.

Before I took part in Leonard Cheshire’s employment project I felt I was discriminated against. I believed I could not compete against other candidates for waged employment, even though I had studied lots and have a bachelors degree.

Building confidence

This project has helped build my confidence and has taught me a lot. I feel I can now write a good CV and feel ready to compete during interviews. The skills I have learned will help me improve my career and advance professionally.

I strongly believe after the training I will be able to get a good and well-paying job.
