Information for trusts and foundations

We have longstanding and broad relationships with many charitable trusts and foundations across the UK. So much of our work is not covered by the statutory funding we receive as a charity to run our social care services, so without the generous support of trusts and foundations, we would be unable to make the difference we do in the lives of the thousands of disabled people we support each year.

We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all the trusts and foundations that have supported and continue to support our work.

Recent supporters

Our diverse range of trust and foundation partners have recently supported many aspects of our work. These include:

  • The Denise Coates Foundation, Samuel and Freda Parkinson Charitable Trust, and Wyn and Ken Lo Memorial Foundation generously supporting our Assistive Technology Programme roll-out across the country, which is revolutionising disabled individuals’ ability to communicate, and in turn, their independence.
  • The National Lottery Community Fund enabling disabled people in Wales to develop their campaigning and advocacy skills as part of our My Voice My Choice project, so that they are better able to make their voices heard and create change in their communities.
  • Hospital Saturday Fund funding a range of projects that have improved the health and wellbeing of the disabled individuals we support.
  • Sport England supporting the residents of Leonard Cheshire’s care services to lead more active lives through All Active Together.
  • Our partnership with the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation that supports disabled entrepreneurs by recognising their achievements through The Stelios Awards.

How your trust can help

We are immensely proud of our relationships with our supporters and work they enable. Your trust can help improve the lives of disabled people across the UK by supporting Leonard Cheshire’s work. This support could be for a specific project or area of work, or you can allow us to use the donation where the need is greatest.
