Our research
We also know we need research and evidence about what works so that laws and policies have the needs and rights of disabled people at their core.
We work with a number of organisations in the UK and around the world such as Com Res and academic institutions such as UCL to find out more about the barriers disabled people face to fulfilling their rights, and to use insight and evidence to innovate ways to overcome these barriers.
We also work with Disabled People’s Organisations to ensure that disabled people’s voices and experiences are at the centre of our research.
Currently we're conducting research into education, employment and independent living, focusing on barriers to employment and how reforms of the UK benefit system have affected disabled people.
We will also conduct research alongside how programmes so we can learn how our work is delivering change.
