How to get here
Our home in Brampton is close to Hinchingbrooke Country Park and less than two miles from the town of Huntingdon. We’re about 20 miles from the city of Cambridge.
The Manor has good road links: we’re close to several major routes including the A1 and A14. We have public transport options too: Huntingdon railway station is fully accessible, with good connections across the UK. A direct train journey, lasting just over an hour, can take you to London’s St Pancras International station. (King’s Cross is just a minute from there). There are also several bus routes, ensuring plenty of ways to reach us.
Who we support
We’re a specialist provider delivering person-centred care. Each resident has a person-centred plan (PCP) that can be updated as required. The PCP clearly sets out what is important to each individual.
We know that people’s conditions are just one part of their lives, affecting people in different ways. In case it is useful for prospective residents to know, we support people with a wide range of conditions including:
- physical disabilities
- acquired brain injuries (ABI)
- strokes
- cerebral palsy
- spina bifida
- learning disabilities
I’ve moved in to enjoy helping out everyone with the in-house, group activities where I can. I like to make sure things are set up for popular activities like bingo. I like to help others and feel useful.
