Response to the Health Foundation findings
Health Foundation findings on adult social care funding have found England are falling behind Scotland and Wales.
In response Neil Heslop, Chief Executive of Leonard Cheshire, said:
‘This is yet more evidence our adult social care system is failing. Inadequate funding exacerbates loneliness, damages mental health and is a barrier to disabled people working.
‘The government should unblock the social care Green Paper paralysis and bring forward a funding solution for adult social care, without it thousands of disabled people are left facing an uncertain future.
‘It's paramount that politicians prioritise social care because disabled people can't wait any longer.’
