Invite Mark Lane over this Mother’s Day!
Mark Lane, Leonard Cheshire’s Global Ambassador for Gardening and Wellbeing, will present an exclusive broadcast event on Sunday 14 March 2021, with all funds from ticket sales going to the leading disability charity.
As we prepare for the end of lockdown and the opportunities Spring gives gardeners, the award-winning expert will offer a Mother’s Day masterclass, focusing on hanging baskets.
With the days getting longer, green-fingered enthusiasts will benefit from his personal insight into compost, linings, watering systems and other tips for growing in this ever-popular container.
“Mother’s Day with Mark Lane: a hanging basket masterclass” is indicative of Leonard Cheshire’s commitment to supporting everyone, whatever their disability, to live, learn and earn.
Tickets are £9.99 and are available from Eventbrite.
Mark is relishing the prospect of delivering practical tips virtually. “Hanging baskets offer the perfect opportunity for beginners but there’s always ways to hone your mastery of this type of container.
Spring is when people often wake up to the potential of their own patch and my job, as always, is to simply suggest that ability is secondary and that gardening is for everyone.”
Ruth Owen, Leonard Cheshire’s CEO added:
“This event seeks to raise awareness of the possibilities with disability; for the people that live with us and those who access our programmes. Mark epitomises that spirit and we’re looking forward to him sharing his expertise and experiences with our supporters.”
